ISLAMABAD (92 News) - An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday granted interim bail to PTI chairman Imran Khan in a case of giving a statement against a judge.

As per details, Imran Khan reached court with his heavy security. He pleaded for interim bail which was accepted by the court. The court ordered Imran Khan to deposit surety bonds of one lakh rupees and also prevented the police from arresting him.

During the hearing, his counsel Babar Awan argued that Imran Khan had said to be ashamed, is this a threat? A case of terrorism has been registered against Imran Khan for threatening a female judge and police officers.

Babar Awan's request to grant interim bail to Imran Khan for a longer period was rejected. The ATC judge remarked that they cannot grant bail to Imran Khan for a longer period.

Talking to the media after the hearing on Thursday, he said that those who are forcibly getting the verdict announced should also think about the country. "The world is making fun of Pakistan. A terrorism case was registered against me when I demanded a legal action over sexual abuse of Shahbaz Gill. It seems that Pakistan is a banana republic. There is no law here," he added.

He said that the government is afraid of the power of the PTI and it is trying to technically knock it out.

Strict security arrangements were made around the judicial complex on the occasion.

Talking to media outside the ATC, Imran Khan said that a case of terrorism is being made against me. “Whoever is making these decisions should think,” he added.
