KARACHI (92 News) – PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto said that the steps taken by Prime Minster Imran Khan are insufficient. In his video link address on Wednesday, he said that the government will have to make emergency decisions under the present circumstances. He asked the prime minister to review his policies. “The government should assume the responsibility of the poor. Bills of gas and electricity should be waived off. The government will have to further bring down the interest rate,” he added. Bilawal Bhutto said that all political forces are ready to fight against coronavirus. “People are being affected by the virus which is not distinguishing between the poor and the rich,” he added. The PPP chairman said that developed countries are also being affected by coronavirus. “The government should increase the number of ventilators. It should take protective measures to control coronavirus. It will be very difficult to control it if it spreads,” he maintained. He said that the Sindh government has increased the daily capacity of 100 kits to 1,200 for testing virus. “It will be increased to 4,000 kits in the coming days,” he added. He urged the people, Ulema, traders and labourers should jointly work for the elimination of coronavirus. “Playing their role, all sections of society should stay at home to save themselves,” he added.
