Stopping daughter from meeting her father is intolerable offense: Bilawal
June 4, 2019
KARACHI (92 News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto said on Tuesday came to the defence of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz and demanded government to let her meet with ailing father Nawaz Sharif. Slamming the incumbent government for stopping Maryam Nawaz from meeting ailing father in jail, the PPP chairman has mentioned that this is tremendous offense for barring Maryam Nawaz to meet with her father, calling it ‘intolerable’. “What message is delivering the ‘selected’ government from stopping a daughter from meeting her father in jail?,” Bilawal asked. He demanded the government to allow a daughter to meet her father as soon as possible. “When humanity and emotions are at stake, then political differences have to be set aside,” said Bilawal. Lashing out the incumbent government, the PPP chairman said that first the government needs to learn humanity and then indulge in politicking.
Maryam says she was ‘denied’ permission to meet Nawaz in jail
Earlier today, Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz regretted that she was not allowed to meet former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in Kot Lakhpat Jail.

Marryam Nawaz said that Nawaz Sharif’s life is in danger. Reacting to the tweet of Sharif’s personal physician, she said that she had not been allowed to meet her father despite his precarious health.

In her tweet, she said she asked for permission to see the PML-N supreme leader to inquire about his health but was not allowed to meet him. “I just wanted to say that what is befalling us today will befall you tomorrow,” she said, adding that a reminder is necessary because the act of retribution is unavoidable. She said: “How ruthless someone could be who doesn’t allow a daughter to meet her father on the occasion of Eid.” “The politics of injustice, hatred and revenge should not forget that almighty Allah is the only power in this world,” she added.
