Stray kite string claims another 9-year-old girl’s life in Sialkot

SIALKOT (92 News) – A 9-year-old girl died after a stray kite string slit his throat at the Agoki Road area of Sialkot on Thursday According to the details, the deceased was identified as Nimra, a resident Sialkot. Nimra was the only child of her parents. Nimra was going going with her father on a motorcycle at the Agoki Road when the string cut his throat. He was seriously injured and shifted to Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital where she died. The tragic incident was happened in the jurisdiction of Agoki Police Station. Meanwhile, the first information report (FIR) has been registered including Acts of murder against unidentified kite flyers. Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar ordered the police to strictly implement the ban on kite-flying.

Earlier, a 22-year-old boy died after a stray kite string slit his throat in Bhatti Gate area on Friday night. The deceased was identified as Bilal, a resident of Begum Kot. He had tied the knot six months ago. Bilal was going to his home when the string cut his throat. He was seriously injured and shifted to hospital where he died. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has taken notice of the incident and sought a report from the DG Operations. He ordered the police to strictly implement the ban on kite-flying. The police have registered a case and started investigations.
