Stray kite string claims life of six-year-old girl in Lahore

LAHORE (92 News) – In an unfortunate incident, a six-year-old girl died after a stray kite string slit his throat in Lahore’s Sanda neighbourhood on Sunday morning. According to the details, the deceased was identified as Hareem Fatima, a resident Lahore. The minor victim was travelling with her father on a motorbike when the incident took place. Hareem Fatima was going with her father on a bike at Band road when stray kite string slit her throat. She was taken to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival. He was seriously injured and shifted to nearby hospital where she died. The tragic incident was happened in the jurisdiction of Sandha Police Station. The parents of minor victim denied for taking case into the police station. Meanwhile, DIG operations took the notice of matter and suspended the SHO Sandha. Taking notice of the incident, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar expressed grief over the death of the girl and offered condolences to the deceased’s family. He directed the Lahore police chief to submit a report on the incident and issued directives for strict action against those responsible for the incident. He said those found negligent resulting in the incident will also face legal action without any discrimination.
