Strengthening of DCCN is actually strengthening of the project: Kashif Siddiqui
KARACHI (92 News) – Kashif Siddiqui, District Coordination Officer (DCO), Accelerated Action Plan (AAP) made an important visit to AAP-Fisheries office based in Karachi, here on Tuesday 14th July.
Siddiqui had an exclusive and detailed discussion with Dr. Abdul Latif Korai, Deputy Programe Coordinator Admin in AAP-Fisheries.
Purpose of the visit was also to discuss extremely essential points of District Coordination Committee for Nutrition (DCCN); a meeting take places in various districts of Sindh province over the issues of malnutrion in women and children.
Dr. Korai, giving his responses to DCO AAP, also informed about some highlighted figures of the Fisheries sector, as follows:
*199 Fish Ponds have been constructed in six (6) districts. Families of Village Based Organizations (VBOs) are being benifited through the ponds.
*2,600 people from deprived communities have been benefited through the technical trainings on "Fishing".
*Stocking of 31 million fish seeds has taken place in Sindh.
In the end, Kashif Siddiqui thanked Dr. Latif for taking out his precious time for the meeting.
