Strengthening Pak-Afghan trade ties to ensure bright future for next generations: NA Speaker

He was chairing the 5th meeting of Executive Committee of Pak-Afghan Parliamentary Friendship Group in Islamabad.

The speaker said that implementation of the recommendations of the recent conference on finding new avenues of trade and investment between Pakistan and Afghanistan is the top priority of the Executive Committee. 

He said that on the recommendation of the Committee, Torkham border is now open seven days a week for pedestrians instead of four days. He asked Adviser on Commerce to pursue the negotiation on Afghan Pakistan Preferential Trade Agreement on fast pace so that the trade activities could take place more vigorously.
