Strict action will be taken against people not wearing masks: Dr Zafar Mirza

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr Zafar Mirza has warned that strict action will be taken against the people not wearing masks. Addressing a press conference on Sunday, he said that the government cares for the lives of citizens. “It is responsibility of the government to determine the punishment for the people not wearing masks,” he said. The special assistant said that masks had been made mandatory in shops and transport. “Masks help stop the spread of coronavirus. The government is monitoring the implementation of SOPs,” he said. He said that the people not wearing masks will be warned and action would be taken against them. “74 percent people dying due to coronavirus were over50. Recovered people are more at risk of contracting coronavirus,” he said. Dr Zafar Mirza said that they would protect the sick and elders. “We will issue separate guidelines for the people over 50-60,” he said. He said that 34 people have so far recovered.
