Strong earthquake jolts Lahore, adjoining areas

LAHORE (92 News) – Strong earthquake jolted different cities of Punjab on Sunday. According to 92 News, the magnitude was determined at 4.4 and epicenter of the earthquake was determined 33 kilometers South-West of Lahore near Pattoki. Tremors were felt in Lahore and adjoining areas. The tumbler created panic in the people, but no loss of life or property has been reported so far. Pakistan is located in one of the most earthquake prone areas with high vulnerability to earthquakes. Geographically, the country lies in the collision zone of the India tectonic plate to the south and the Eurasian plate to the north.
