ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The police shot dead a student riding a car on suspicion of being a dacoit in G-13/II area on Saturday.

Osama Nadeem was on his way in a car having tainted glasses. The police signaled him to stop, but he drove away. On suspicion, the police opened fire on the car. As a result, the student died on the spot. DSP Khalid Awan has declared the youth innocent.

The victim autopsy was conducted at PIMS. Doctors said that bullets were sprayed from the front side and he sustained 22 bullet wounds.

On the order of IGP, five policemen involved in the incident were arrested and shifted to Ramna police station. A team headed by DIG Investigations has been formed to probe into the matter.

The victim's father, in an application, has appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan and Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed to take notice and provide him justice.

He said that his son had a quarrel with policemen, including Mudasar Mukhtar, Shakeel Ahmed, Saeed Ahmed, Iftikhar Ahmed and Muhammad Mustafa, a day ago and the police murdered him the very next day.

According to the police, they had received information about a dacoity in Shams Colony. The ATS personnel had signaled the youth to stop, but he drove away.
