LAHORE (92 News) – The Sugar Mills Association has expressed no-confidence in Jahangir Tareen Group. During a press conference, Progressive Group proved their majority. Twenty-nine representatives of sugar mills, out of total 42 of Punjab, attended the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, Javed Kayani and Zaka Ashraf said that their group has no political objective. “We want to meet Prime Minister Imran Khan. The sugar industry is ready to fully support the government,” they said. They said that they had no right to fix the sugar price. “However, an ample quantity is present and there is no crisis. We want to reduce the distance between the government and our body,” they said. Javed Kayani said that they only want to apprise the prime minister of the problems being faced by the association.
