Suicide jackets seized as one terrorist killed, five arrested in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – A terror bid foiled in Karachi as one terrorist was killed and five other were arrested after an exchange of fire with Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in the wee hours of Monday.

According to the details garnered, the joint operation was conducted by the CTD and officers of intelligence agencies on tip off about the presence of terror suspects at a house in Karachi’s Shah Latif Town. The terrorists hurled a hand grenade on the armored vehicle of the CTD.

An exchange of fire also took place between terrorists and CTD during which one terrorist was killed and five other were arrested. It was also reported that the explosive material, suicide jackets and a rickshaw laden with explosive material have been seized from the arrested terrorist.

The bomb disposal squad is currently inspecting the house. The area has been cordoned off. The identity of the arrested terrorists is not yet known.
