Summary sent to Petroleum Ministry to increase POL products by Rs 6.93 per liter

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority has sent a summary to the Petroleum Ministry, suggesting an increase of Rs 6.93 per liter in the prices of POL product. It has been recommended that petrol should be increased by 31 paisa per liter. An increase of Rs 3.94 per liter has been proposed in the price of high-speed diesel, kerosene oil by Rs 6.93 per liter and light diesel by Rs 3.48 per liter. Sources told 92 News that the Petroleum Ministry had also proposed that the prices of petrol and diesel should be upheld. The Finance Ministry will make the final announcement after approval of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on December 31. After the notification, the new prices will be applicable in 2017.
