Rawalpindi NAB arrests Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani from the premises of the Supreme Court on Friday.

He will be detained at Rawalpindi NAB tonight and will be shifted to Sindh after getting his transit remand on Saturday. He will undergo a medical check-up before the transit remand.

Earlier on Friday, the Supreme Court has ordered Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani to surrender before National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

The apex court rejected the plea and directed the accused to surrender to the bureau. “We have to proceed with the case as per the law,” Justice Bandial remarked.

Earlier the day, a team of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had raided the residence of Agha Siraj Durrani to arrest him following rejection of his bail from Sindh High Court but failed due to resistance.
