Supreme Court rejects petition filed to halt NA-19 by-poll by PML-N candidate

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday rejected the petition of former MNA of the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) Umer Ayub to halt NA-19 by-election. A three-member bench headed by Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali dismissed the petition to halt August 16 by-poll in Haripur’s NA-19 after initial hearing. The NA-19 Haripur seat is set for election between two main contestants PML-N and PTI on August 16.
