Swerage line explosion: exposes incompetence of district and building administration

KARACHI (92 News) – The incompetence of district and building administration has been exposed in the blast of sewerage line in Sher Shah.

The building was to be vacated on court orders. The Assistant Commissioner had issued notices to the illegal construction offices. The showroom attached to the bank was also given notice on November 30. A copy of the notice was obtained by 92 News.

The case has been registered against the people who are involved in illegal constructions. The blast killed 17 people and injured 16. The bodies of chief cashier of the bank Sardar Mir and a young man named Muhammad Ali, were found. Both their bodies were buried under the rubble in the drain.

According to police, the bank and showroom owner were tenants. The rent was paid to the court.
