Syed Ali Gilani's life is a beacon for Kashmiri youth: FM Qureshi

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the life of Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gilani is a beacon for the Kashmiri youth.

Paying to tributes to Syed Ali Gilani on Thursday, he said that the pro-freedom leader had never compromised on principles. "The Indian forces besieged the house of Syed Ali Gilani and did not allow his funeral," he added.

Later addressing sixth Think Tank Forum through video link, FM Qureshi said that there was a dire need for sustained engagement by the international community, as shared responsibility, to help Afghanistan on its path to peace, stability and prosperity.

"We consider all segments of society important in overall construction of Afghanistan. We continue to support an inclusive setup as the best way forward. It will open new vistas of cooperation at regional and international level as well as help realize our common objectives of a peaceful and prosperous region," he maintained.
