December 10, 2017
LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri has on Sunday demanded the formation of a joint investigation team, similar to the one formed to investigate the Panama Papers case, to probe the Model Town incident. Talking to media after meeting Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed at his Model Town residence, Tahirul Qadri said Justice Baqar Najafi's report had declared both Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Law Minister Rana Sanaullah killers, adding that, "this is why the ruling government was reluctant to public the report since last three years". Reiterating his demand for Shehbaz and Sanaullah's resignation and submission to police for investigation, Qadri said, "We have a right to kick them out through protest if they are not willing to step-down voluntarily." Speaking on the occasion, AML chief Sheikh Rasheed also announced his support in favor of the PAT chief and said that the Sharif family will be out of office before March 30.
