DOHA (92 News) – Taliban Spokesman Suhail Shaheen has raised voice for the Kashmiri Muslims, saying that the group has the right to raise its voice for Muslims anywhere, including in Kashmir.

In a Zoom interview with BBC Urdu, Shaheen said that the Muslims deserve equal rights under the Indian law. "We do not have a policy to raise arms against any country. Being Muslims, we will raise our voice for Muslims in Kashmir, India, and any other country," he said.

To a question about the Haqqani network, Suhail Shaheen said: "There is no such group and they are a part of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan."

He claimed that the Taliban had no role in the hijacking of an Indian plane. "The Indian government should be thankful to us for providing help in this regard," he added.

He said that they had provided help for the release of the besieged passenger on the request of India.
