KABUL (92 News) - Afghan Deputy Information Minister Zabihullah Mujahid has expressed hope that talks between Pakistan and the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) will reach a conclusion this time.

Zabihullah Mujahid while talking to 92 News said that our role is to mediate for talks between the government of Pakistan and TTP. He hoped that this time the talks would reach a conclusion.

Zabihullah Mujahid said that even if the talks failed, no one would be allowed to use Afghan territory against Pakistan. He said the Pakistani Taliban had declared an indefinite ceasefire.

He said that the Islamic Emirate wants peace and contentment in the region, countries and especially in its immediate neighborhood. There are many Afghan refugees living in Pakistan and their protection is also the protection of our own citizens. There must be reconciliation. They will also have demands on each other in internal affairs. We want both sides to be gentle with each other.

Talking about the situation in Afghanistan, Zabiullah said that the previous administration of Afghanistan was totally dependent on foreign aid, especially US aid. 75% of their annual budget was provided by the United States, while the Islamic Emirate has depended on its income for its entire budget.
