WASHINGTON DC (92 News) - US State Department spokesperson Morgan Ortagus Thursday termed Prime Minister Imran Khan’s US visit as successful, saying talks between US President Donald Trump and PM Khan were a triumphant episode. Briefing media in Washington DC, Morgan Ortagus said it’s time to move forward and grow more deeper relations with Pakistan as the meeting between Mr Trump and Mr Khan gave a chance to the President and Secretary of State to build a personal connection and rapport with Pakistan. “PM Imran during the meeting with President Trump vowed to urge Taliban to negotiate with the Afghan government and we think this is an important step as we are also committed to peace in Afghanistan,” she told reporters. "The US intentions to restore peace in Afghanistan can't be suspicious in the eye of the world as we hope that Afghanistan decide its future itself." Morgan Ortagus said a number of issues were discussed during high-level meetings, adding time demands to build upon success of these meetings and commitments. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rrPbTq_oSs
