Talks remain inconclusive as private educational institutions refuse to reduce fees

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The meeting between State Minister for Education Baligheeur Rahman and owners of private educational institutions remained inconclusive after the latter refused to reduce the fees. The minister has again summoned the meeting on Friday. The meeting discussed the heavy increase in fees. The minister said that the school owners were objecting to some sections of the CAD Ministry and a report would be sent to Prime Minister Prime Minister after removing the objections. He said that no approval was granted before increasing the fees. The prime minister had expressed concern over a hefty increase in fees. Committees have been established in Lahore to hear the complaints of parents. Meanwhile, a petition has been filed in the Sindh High Court against the increase in fees.
