ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s cousin Tariq Shafi has on Sunday appeared before the Joint Investigation Team formed to probe Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family in Panamagate case.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s cousin Tariq Shafi recorded his statement before the six-man panel during three hours of questioning.

Talking to media after leaving the Judicial Academy on Sunday, he said that the JIT has not summoned him again.

Tariq Shafi said that that he has briefed the six-man panel regarding the Gulf Steel.

Earlier, The Joint Investigation Team (JIT), constituted by the Supreme Court to probe Panama Leaks case had summoned Nawaz Sharif 's cousin Tariq Shafi, who will have to appear before JIT on July 2 for interrogation in the Money laundering case.

The JIT had also directed the prime minister’s cousin to appear before the panel with all the record.

The team has prepared questions for the Nawaz Sharif’s family members and others being summoned.

The six-man panel has also summoned Nawaz Sharif's children Hassan Nawaz on July 3, Hussain Nawaz on July 4 and Maryam Nawaz on July 5, 2017.
