Tayyaba torture case: Islamabad Police submit report in SC

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – In the latest development in housemaid Tayyaba torture case, the Islamabad Police have submitted a report in the Supreme Court on Tuesday. According to the report, an incomplete chalan was submitted in the trial court against accused Maheen Zafar. The report stated that additional session judge Raja Khurram had appointed Tayyaba as a housemaid on a monthly wage. The report further said that the police were waiting for the DNA report of the girl and her self-claimed parents. “A woman namely Humaira took the pictures of Tayyaba at the judge’s house. Tayyaba and her parents appeared before the investigation officer on January 8. The three of them were taken into protective custody after that. Tayyaba and her parents were residing at a person named Fawad’s house,” the report stated. The report was submitted by the Islamabad Police DIG. The hearing of the case will be held on Wednesday (tomorrow) in the Supreme Court.
