Tayyaba Torture Case: Judge, wife nominated in challan

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar has on Wednesday said that minor housemaid Tayyaba is like his own daughter and he wanted to get to the bottom of the case. A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Justice Saqib Nisar resumed hearing of the case. During the proceedings, DIG Islamabad presented challan in the court in which he said that Maheen Zafar and Raja Khurram Ali Khan have been nominated in the challan. Advocate General Islamabad told the court that the investigation has been completed in the case, adding that the complete challan will be submitted tomorrow. Asima Jahangir told the court that the violence against children is wrong, adding that it has to know who is running this network. The Chief Justice asked Asima Jahangir if she wanted the court to send the case to any Magistrate in Punjab to which she said that they wanted that nothing like this happen again.
