Tayyaba Torture Case: SC orders to form high-level committee

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court has on Friday ordered the police to form a high-level committee to investigate into the torture of minor maid Tayyaba. A two-member bench headed by Chief Justice Justice Saqib Nisar heard the Tayyaba torture case. During the proceedings, the Chief Justice remarked that the parents cannot deprive their children from basic necessities and how could they sign an agreement. He ordered the concerned authorities to get Tayyaba’s medical. The apex court ordered DIG Police Islamabad to constitute a high level committee. The court further ordered to present the minor maidservant and her real parents in the court on the next hearing. The court adjourned the hearing till Wednesday. On the other hand, talking to media, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan said that the Tayyaba torture case is very important, the top court has done a good thing by taking suo moto notice of the case.
