Teenage thief murder case: Police arrest three more suspects

KARACHI (92 News) – The police on Monday claimed to have arrest three more suspects involved in the murder of a teenage thief in Bahadurabad area of Karachi. It is pertinent to mention here that a 15-year-old boy, termed as teenage thief,  was beaten to death by a bungalow owner and his accomplices after he was accused of stealing from his property in the metropolis. It was reported that the suspects were arrested with the help of the video available with the police of the murder. So far five people have been taken into custody by the police in the case. The case was lodged on the complaint of Rehan’s father, who lost his life after immense torture by the angry people in the area. The investigation officer had said two alleged thieves entered a house in Bahadurabad area to commit a theft. One of them had managed to escape while the household caught the other suspect, they added. Subsequently, owners of the house and other people who had gathered there subjected him to severe torture. He was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) where he was pronounced dead. Earlier, a 15-year-old boy , was beaten to death by a bungalow owner. The bungalow owner with the support of his neighbours tied the youth’s hands and began thrashing him. The brutal torture that lasted for two hours. A video airing on social media showed Rehan tied to a metallic grill as the owners and others questioned him. The boy could be heard naming his accomplices in the video, which was recorded by the owner and area residents. Pictures of the minor boy’s dead body showed signs of torture. Rehan’s father told reporters that his son worked as a butcher during Eid al-Adha. He said Rehan told him he was going to collect money for his work, but never returned home. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah took notice of inhuman act of violence, police swung into action to arrest house owner Daniyal and his friend Zubair in connection with the murder.
