Telethon: Imran Khan collects Rs 5 billion for flood victims

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - PTI chairman and former premier Imran Khan held a telethon for the relief of the flood victims and collected over Rs five billion on the telephone calls of Pakistanis living inside and from overseas.

In Imran Khan's telethon, Pakistanis living inside and overseas Pakistanis announced to donate funds. Imran Khan said that the collected funds would be spent across the country.

Imran Khan said that the funds will be spent under the leadership of Sania Nishtar and youths who cannot provide funds for the flood victims should join the volunteer force and help. 

The PTI chairman said that there is a big test at this time. "The entire country is affected due to floods. We have decided that the entire country should face this test together." 

Imran Khan said that in 75 years, no big dam was built except Tarbela and Mangala Dam. "We laid the foundation of 10 dams during our regime. Flood disasters can be avoided by building dams." 

Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, PTI leader Murad Saeed and other attended the telethon.
