LAHORE (92 News) - A terrorist - who was arrested by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Punjab police outside railway station in Lahore - has made startling revelations during investigations. According to the sources, during the investigation, terrorist Liaquat said he was tasked for a bomb attack outside Police Lines by Mukkaram Khan aka Umer Khurasani. “I was waiting for a bomber to handover suicide jacket to him, but was arrested," he added. In his statement before law enforcement agencies, the arrested terrorist further said that he had to provide backup to a 17-year-old suicide bomber, a resident of neighboring country and when he was waiting for would-be suicide bomber outside the railway station, he was taken into custody. Yesterday, the CTD arrested a terrorist from Lahore railway station. A suicide jacket, two hand grenades, explosive material and a pistol were recovered from him. According to sources, the terrorist was identified as Liaquat Khan of Mohmand District. He belongs to the banned outfit Hizabul Ahrar. The sources said that the terrorist wanted to carry out the blast at a sensitive place. The CTD police station have registered a case against the terrorist.
