Thatha’s coastal areas remain cut off even after five days of rain

THATHA (92 News) – The coastal areas of Thatha remained cut off from the province even after five days of the rain on Saturday. Over 350 villages were inundated due to heavy rains in Sakru, Garu, Catty Bandar and Gharu. People are forced to migrate from the rain-hit areas to safer places. The affectees are looking towards the Sindh government for help. PTI leader Haleem Adil Sheikh said that several union councils have been cut-off from other areas. He alleged that influential people have drowned the residential areas to save their mills. “People, including children and women, are living in poultry farms. They have no clean drinking water,” he said. Moreover, several are at the risk of being drowned due to crevices in drains.
