The Provincial Assembly of the Punjab Privileges (Amendment) Bill 2021 approved unanimously

LAHORE (92 News) – The Provincial Assembly of the Punjab Privileges (Amendment) Bill 2021 was approved unanimously on Tuesday.

The House again approved the Punjab MPAs' Privileges (Amendment) Act 2021.

Meanwhile, Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi announced not to send the bill to the governor.

It will become the law after the issuance of the gazette notification.

On the passing of the bill, the opposition members raised the slogans of ‘Long Live Pervaiz Elahi’ and ‘Lion, Lion’.

Governor Ch Sarwar had sent the MPAs' Privileges Act after to assembly after raising some objections. After permission from the Speaker, MPA Sajid Khan Bhatti had presented the bill.

Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi said that now no bureaucrat would dare to violate the privilege of the assembly. “The act has been formed in the light of the constitution,” he added.
