There is a need for an operation like Zarb-e-Azb after Peshawar tragedy: Kh Asif

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that there is a need for an operation like Zarb-e-Azb after the Peshawar tragedy, adding that the decision on it will be made by the National Security Committee.

Speaking on a point or order in National Assembly on Tuesday, he said that he said that the martyrdom of over 100 people in the suicide blast is not less than the APS tragedy.

"There is a need for evolving consensus by ignoring all differences," he added.

The minister said that Pakistan had suffered the loss of life and property in the Afghan war and later it was discussed to bring back the terrorists. "How can we tell the families of the police martyrs that what happened to us?" he added.

He said that Pakistan should rectify the affairs at home instead of becoming a supporter of America.
