There is no plan to impose economic emergency in the country: Finance Ministry

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Ministry of Finance has said that there is no plan to impose economic emergency in the country.

The Ministry of Finance has dismissed the news of economic emergency as baseless and said that people should not listen to such rumors which are against the national interest. People should play their role for economic improvement and stability. The IMF program is back on track with efforts of current government.

The Ministry of Finance further said that comparing Pakistan with Sri Lanka is totally inappropriate. The government is committed to repaying the debt and completing the IMF programme.
