ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan said that there would be no match-fixing in the Senate.

During the federal cabinet meeting on Tuesday, he gave the deadline of three months for the electoral reforms.

The prime minister directed to hold the Senate election through the open ballot. "We are not afraid of the results. Electoral reforms are necessary for the system," he added.

He said that there should not be secret balloting no matter how much loss the government suffers.

PM Imran Khan said that it was the first time when an incumbent government wishing for impartial elections. "The government taking decisions in national interests contrary to political interests," he said.

He said that the sanctity of vote is mandatory. "The ECP, NADRA and Information Technology Ministry are playing an important role in the electoral reforms. IT Ministry has started working to save the system from the hackers," he added.

Federal Minister for Narcotics Control Azam Khan Swati briefed the prime minister about the Senate election, i-voting and electoral reforms.
