LAHORE (92 News) – Thick fog prevails in most plain areas of Punjab leaving zero visibility on roads on Friday. The traffic system has been disrupted as fog continues to blanket various areas of the province including the provincial capital. Various sections of Motorway and National Highway have also been closed due to thick fog, while commuters have been advised to avoid unnecessary travelling and use fog lights while driving. M-1 from Peshawar to Burhan has been closed due to intense foggy conditions. According to a spokesman of Motorway Police, M2 from Lahore to Pindi Bathiyan, M3 from Pindi Bathiyan to Faisalabad, and M4 from Faisalabad to Gojra and Khanewal to Multan are also closed due to intense fog. Visibility from Lahore to Mureedkey is 20 to 30 meters The Motorway Police has asked the commuters to avoid unnecessary travelling, use fog lights, do not overtake and avoid using mobile phone while driving in the foggy condition. Traffic is slow at GT Road and National Highway with zero visibility from Pattoki to Okara National Highway
