Thick fog blankets several cities in Punjab

LAHORE (92 News) – Thick fog continued to blanket several areas in Punjab intensifying winter across the country. Fog developed in most of Punjab cities including Sahiwal, Mian Channu, Khanewal, Pattoki, Okara, and Bahawalpur.Motorway has been closed from Multan to Khanewal. The Motorway police have directed the motorists to use fog lights. Drivers have been further advised to contact Motorway police at helpline 130 for any travel guidance. The Motorway police has said that visibility level has dropped significantly as a result of fog. The spokesperson has urged the commuters to refrain from unnecessary travel on the highways and motorways. According to the Met Office, mainly very cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country whereas rain-thunderstorm with snow over hills is expected at scattered places in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Bannu, DI Khan, Quetta.
