Thick fog grips parts of Punjab, Sindh, disrupts flight operations

LAHORE (92 News) – Thick fog prevails in most plain areas of Punjab and Sindh leaving zero visibility on roads. The traffic system has been disrupted as fog continues to blanket various areas of the province on Friday. The arrival and departure of flights at Lahore Airport has also been suspended. Various sections of Motorway and National Highway have also been closed due to thick fog. According to Meteorological Department, dense foggy condition will prevail over M-2 from Pindi Bhattian to Lahore and over M-3 from Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad. On the National Highway, dense fog will prevail over N-5 on Kharian to Gujranwala, Gujranwala to Lahore and Lahore to Okara highways. The Motorway Police has advised the general public to avoid unnecessary travelling due to very low visibility in dense fog areas.
