ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that those who stand in the way of truth face difficulties.

Addressing a ceremony on the three-year performance of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday, he said that up and down are part of life. "No one has achieved a big thing without being failed. It cannot happen you become a leader after holding a chit," he maintained.

The prime minister said that they had to approach the IMF during the tough conditions. "The tax collection was Rs 3,800 billion when assumed the power. Today it has risen to Rs 4,700 billion," he declared.

He said that in future Pakistan will become part of peace efforts, not a war. "Pakistan became part of the war on the assurances of then US President George W bush. It was the first war when allies were bombed. Thousands of Pakistanis were killed in 480 drone attacks. What we gained in the war?" he questioned.

He said that the US while leaving accused Pakistan of being a reason behind the war. "No one fights for the corrupt rulers. For this reason, the Afghan Army did not fight," he added.

Paying tribute to the Pak Army, PM Imran Khan said that they gained confidence due to the Pak Army after the Pulwama incident.

"I thank Allah Almighty for giving us the Pak Army. India has opened a front against the Pak Army. I was badly hurt during three years when the mafia spoke against the Pak Army. They are opposing the Army to persuade it to topple the government," he said.
