Slain Qawal Amjad Sabri laid to rest in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – The slain Qawal Amjad Farid Sabri was laid to rest next to his father Ghulam Farid Sabri in Paposhnagar Graveyard, Karachi on Thursday. Thousands of people attended his funeral, which was led by the spiritual heir to Sufi saint Baba Farid Ganjshakar, Maulana Ahmed Deewan Massoud. The law enforcement agencies cleared out the roads for the funeral procession as Sabri's death was the latest in a high-profile series of attacks in Karachi. Political leaders, members of the civil society and Muttahida Qaumi Movement leaders including Farooq Sattar and Waseem Akhtar attended the funeral.
