Thousands of people witness impressive flag-lowering ceremony at Wagah

LAHORE (92 News) – Thousands of people thronged to see the impressive flag-lowering ceremony at Wagah Border on the 73rd Independence Day on Wednesday. An impressive flag lowering ceremony has been held at Wagah border land crossing, which was witnessed by large number of people. People from all walks of life visited the Wagah border to attend the ceremony and express love with their motherland. During the ceremony, the entire area continued to resound with the slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ and ‘Jeway Jeway Pakistan’. The air echoed with the slogans of ‘Allahu Akbar’ ‘Ya Rasool Allah (PBUH)’ ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ and ‘Jevay Jevay Pakistan’. Most of the people especially children were dressed in green and white coloured clothes in accordance with the celebrations of the 73rd Independence Day of Pakistan. They were also carrying national flags and placards inscribed with slogans in favour of Pakistan. A smartly contingent of Rangers held parade at Wagah border. Meanwhile, brisk preparations continued to celebrate the Independence Day with traditional enthusiasm and zeal across the country. People purchased national flags, Kashmir flags, banners, badges and pictures of national heroes who struggled tirelessly to achieve a separate homeland for Muslims of subcontinent. The government of Pakistan has revealed a special logo for the Independence Day reflecting the theme “Kashmir Bane Ga Pakistan”.
