ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Senior Civil Judge Rana Mujahid Rahim rejected the request for arrest warrants of former prime minister Imran Khan in the case of threatening a female judge.

Naeem Panjotha, counsel for Imran Khan, while filing a request for exemption from attendance on medical grounds contended that Imran Khan's health is not allowing him to come to Islamabad as doctors have advised him to take rest.

Prosecutor Rizwan Abbasi objected to the request for exemption from attendance, saying that Imran Khan is not appearing in court after submitting the medical report of his own hospital. "Shaukat Khanum Hospital is a cancer hospital. Imran Khan's problem is different. There is inflammation due to the fracture. Has Imran Khan been asked to walk to court? Imran Khan should come outside the court and his attendance will be marked," he stated.

The prosecutor requested that Imran Khan's bail be canceled and arrest warrants for him should be issued. The prosecutor also opposed Imran Khan's request for exemption from today's appearance.

However, the court accepted Imran Khan's request for exemption from attendance for today. The hearing has been adjourned till March 9.
