Threats to female judge: Arrest warrants issued for Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Senior Civil Judge Rana Mujahid Rahim issued arrest warrants for PTI chairman Imran Khan in the case pertaining to threatening Magistrate Zeba Chaudhary.

The warrants have been issued in the case registered under sections 506, 504, 188 and 189 of the Pakistan Penal Code at the Margalla police station on August 20 .

Reacting to the issuance of arrest warrants for Imran Khan, PTI leader Asad Umar said that the government would repent if it made the mistake of arresting Imran Khan. He said that pack of lies was told in the press conference of the PML-N leaders.

Fawad Chaudhary said that it was a cheap act to issue arrest warrants for Imran Khan in a very weak case containing weak sections. "The IHC has already deflated this case," he added.

Meanwhile, the PTI will file a petition in the court of the district and sessions judge and seek suspension of the arrest warrants.
