KARACHI (92 News) – The security forces foiled the terror bid as three terrorists were killed in an alleged exchange of fire with law enforcers in Khuda Baksh Goth near Super Highway at Northern Bypass in Karachi late on Sunday. According to police, police personnel aided by officials of an intelligence agency conducted a raid at a hideout of terrorists in Khuda Baksh village following a tip-off about their presence there. In retaliation, three terrorists were killed, while taking advantage of the darkness, two of their accomplices managed to escape. The killed terrorists identified as Usam,20-years-old and Talat mehmood, 48-years-old. Suicide jackets and arms were seized from the possession of the killed terror suspects, a police official said, adding that raids are being conducted to arrest the absconding accused. He said the terrorists were planning a terror attack in Karachi. The bodies of the killed terrorists were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Terrorist involved in attack on Sri Lankan team killed
A day earlier, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) killed an alleged terrorist – who involved in attack on Sri Lankan team – during a raid conducted in Dera Ismail Khan.

According to the reports, an alleged terrorist was killed in a CTD raid who wanted to the police department in 13 different cases. The Police officials have expressed suspicions regarding the terrorist of having a connection with the group involved in an attack on Sri Lankan cricket team.

One policeman was injured in attack of grenade by the terrorists during the encounter. The security team also recovered grenade and automatic weapon from the possession of the terrorist.
CTD foils terror bid in Multan as two terrorist killed
The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Multan has killed two alleged terrorists, while three others managed to escape in a shoot-out last night.

According to CTD spokesman, the department received information from a credible source that some four to five terrorists belonging to a proscribed organisation are planning to assassinate officers of a sensitive agency in Multan.
