LAHORE/FAISALABAD (92 News) - As many as three convicted murderers were were hanged in different jails of Punjab on Wednesday morning. As per reports, two of the hanged were hanged in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail while the third was executed at Faisalabad Central Jail. Aftab Masih and Tariq were in Lahore’s jail, while Hashmat Ali was executed in Faisalabad. Aftab Masih was convicted of the murder of a woman and her two children in 1992. Hashmat Ali was convicted of six murders. Pakistan lifted the de-facto moratorium on death penalty on December 17 last year, a day after Taliban gunmen attacked a school in Peshawar killing 134 students and 19 adults.
