Three dead as rain creates havoc in Bannu

BANNU (92 News) – At least three people were killed and more than 50 injured in rain related incident in Bannu on Wednesday. The injured people have been shifted to nearby Hospital in Bannu. The rain has also partially damaged 25 houses. The condition of several injured people were said to be critical. Sources said that two youngsters were killed when the roof of their house caved in in Sokri area of Bannu, while a woman was killed when the roof of the house collapsed in Jandukhel. Normal life was badly affected in the district where many villages and towns have been affected as roads were inundated. On the other hand, rain-thundershower occurred in different cities including Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala divisions while at isolated places of Hazara division, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Heavy falls may generate flash flooding and landslides in the vulnerable areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
