Three dead, several injured as bus rams into truck in Muzaffargarh

MUZAFFARGARH (92 News) – At least three people were killed and more than 20 injured as a speeding bus rammed into a truck after losing its control early Friday morning in Muzaffargarh. According to the details, the bus collided with the truck on Jhang Road when a passenger bus lost control and hit a truck parked on the side. The rescue officials said that three people lost their lives on the spot, while more than 20 were wounded. Officials also said they had to cut open the bus to recover the dead bodies and rescue the wounded passengers inside. The injured folks, which include women and children, were moved to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital. The passenger bus was going from Sakhi Sarwar to Faisalabad, said the local police.
Four killed, five injured in Muzaffargarh accident
Earlier in Dec 2018, four people were killed while five others injured in a collision between a truck and a van. The accident occurred while saving a cyclist. The Rescue 1122 officials shifted the injured to Nishtar and THQ Hospital Kot Addu. Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has expressed sorrow over the loss of precious lives in Muzaffargarh. He ordered to provide the best possible medical facilities to the injured. He also sought a report from the district administration.
Four killed, 30 injured in accident near Okara Bypass
Earlier, four people were killed while 30 others injured in a pile up of five vehicles, including two buses, near Okara Bypass on Friday. The deceased and injured were shifted to DHQ Hospital. Visibility was very low on key highways. As a result, Motorways were closed also at several points.
On the other hand, several highways were closed due to dense fog in Lahore, Pattoki and Sahiwal on Friday. Meanwhile, a man was killed and four others injured in a collision between a van and truck. In Chichawatni, four people were injured in a collision between two buses on Kamalia Road. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has taken notice of the accident and provide the best healthcare facilities to the injured.
