Three doctors diagnosed with COVID-19 in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – Three doctors of Civil Hospital were diagnosed with COVID-19 as coronavirus continued to attack the frontline soldiers across the country. Senior Medical Officer Dr Mazhar Manzoor and Faisalabad DHO Dr Bilal also tested positive for coronavirus. Moreover, two more doctors of Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad have been diagnosed with COVID-19. On the other hand, DIG Operations Punjab Sohail Sukhera also tested positive for coronavirus. According to a report issued by the Ministry of National Health and Emergency Service, the number of healthcare workers affected by coronavirus has increased to 139 with two more deaths reported during the last 24 hours. With 139 more cases, the tally of doctors and paramedical staff affected by coronavirus has risen to 2,193. The death tally has increased to 23. According to the report, 82 doctors have so far been diagnosed with COVID-19, increasing the tally to 1,232. The number of coronavirus-affected nurses has increased to 333, while the number of medical staff is 628. As many as 196, according to the report, people related to the medical profession are being treated at different hospitals. Seven healthcare workers are on ventilators due to their critical condition. 1,185 people have been quarantined in their homes and other places. As many as 789 healthcare workers have recovered and returned to their homes.
