Three more fall prey to famine in Tharparkar, toll reaches 72

THARPARKAR (92 News) – Three more children died of famine in drought-hit Tharparkar on Wednesday.

An outbreak of water borne and food shortage diseases continued to claim lives in Thar as children suffered deprivation of food and water while the relief activities in the area has not been launched by the local government.

The death tally has been mounted to 72 since January while hundreds of other children are under treatment at various hospitals.

The Sindh government is resorting to mere announcements while death toll in Tharparkar is rising.
