Bank manager among three shot dead in Lahore; attacker killed in encounter with police

LAHORE (92 News) – As many as three persons, including a manager, were killed while four others sustained injuries when the cashier of a Government Science College opened indiscriminate fire in Karim Block, Allama Iqbal Town, on Thursday. As per details, the cashier did not take away any cash, leading the authorities to conclude that the incident might be of a personal enmity. The culprit rushed into a bank early in the morning and started firing. He later fled the scene; however, leaving behind an injured accomplice. Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Amin Wains said that the detained accomplice has been shifted to an undisclosed location. The attacker was identified as Abdullah who was later killed in an encounter with the police in Sherakot area. Investigations are underway to ascertain the cause behind the incident.
