RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Three Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom as Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing across the Line of Control (LoC) on Thursday. Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor said, in a tweet, that Indian army has increased firing along the Line of Control in an effort to divert attention from precarious situation in Occupied Kashmir. “In efforts to divert attention from precarious situation in IOJ&K (India-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir),Indian Army increases firing along LOC. Three Pakistani soldiers embraced shahadat,” DG ISPR tweeted. Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor further said that Pakistan Army responded effectively to Indian aggression and killed at least five Indian soldiers killed and left many injured besides damaging their bunkers. “3 Pakistani soldiers embraced shahadat. Pakistan Army responded effectively. 5 Indian soldiers killed, many injured, bunkers damaged. Intermittent exchange of fire continues.” Indian forces violated the ceasefire agreement by firing along LOC when Pakistan has been raising voice for oppressed people of the Indian-held Jammu Kashmir at all forums. Today, Pakistani and Kashmiris across the world are observing Indian Independence Day as Black Day to protest against the country’s illegal annexation of the Occupied Kashmir. Last week, India stripped Occupied Kashmir’s right to frame its own laws and allowed non-residents to buy property there. Before that, the Indian government blocked the internet, landline phones, cable television, and every other mode of communication to stop people from protesting against the arbitrary move. On the other hand, the UN Security Council (UNSC) will hold a session in New York tomorrow (Friday) to discuss Indian-held Jammu Kashmir (IHK) issue after five decades. According to diplomatic sources, the UNSC will discuss the Kashmir dispute under agenda item Pakistan-India question. This is a big success for Kashmir and Pakistan. The debate is happening after many decades. The request to convene the meeting of UNSC on Kashmir was made by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
